Senera felt his fury rise in the presence of the Ork psyker. Though he managed to repress it. However, he does holster his Thunderhammer, lest he might smash the Ork's head in with it.
He then answers the Ork, looking calm and composed as possible.
"And you do not act like other Orks. So who are you? and who do you mean by "the other ones"?"

[Norabder's Ranged attack Vs Orks - 4]

The grenade soars into place behind the Orks advancing on Meros, burying itself halfway into the sand before detonating, sending a fine mist of blood and sand into the air. Two Orks are thrown away and cease all movement, and a further pair are incapacitated due to a distinct lack of legs. They writhe around, desperately clawing their way closer. This leaves a total two able-bodied Ork, one each for Meros and Norabder.

Charging through the flying guts of it's peers, another Ork smacks a crude blade into Meros' chest, causing no physical damage but clearly hitting hard.

In an attempt to decapitate the Lamenter, a serrated lance is swung wildly in his direction, however, a sharp dodge against an overenthusiastic lunge leads to the Ork tripping and falling.

Conveniently, it falls face-first onto the Lamenter's knife, struggling and squirming the last few moment's of it's life away, saturating the sand beneath with thick greenskin blood.

The Apothecary strikes at the remaining Ork, causing a large wound, yet the lumbering beast remains standing and poised to counter.

[Ork Leadership roll (D6) - 5]

The few Orks around the leader tense up, but respect the Templar's diplomacy.

The psyker whispers under his breath in a fluid and mysterious language, speaking with far too many syllables for a typical Ork. His eyes look through Senera, at the violence behind. "Yer not..." It shakes it's head in frustration. "Dasovallitha." It grumbles, "vaya vey ne’sha."

It's easy to note that it's Gothic is unmistakably Orky, though the fluency and delicacy in which the other words are spoken makes for a stark and unsettling contrast. It looks up into Senera's eyes, grimacing with it's dirty tusks. "I, Tortaga, of Solruthis vor Nishallia." He beats his fist upon his chestpate, which upon closer inspection, strikes an eerie resemblance to Mk.IV Power Armour.

Ork and Berzerker clash blades, even if only for a fleeting moment. The ravenous adamantium blade Segovax wields cuts through the Orks' dull metal sword like water, powering through to devour it's flesh. The last two Orks charging Segovax find themselves with mixed luck. One falls to the ground immediately, while it's head shoots off behind another dune as Segovax rips it off in a fit of fury. Despite this, a rusty axe finds purchase in the softer carapace in Segovax's armpit, digging deep.

Huh, would you look at that, some good luck. It won't last.
*slides his blade clear before moving to assist Meros with the last ork.*

Senera studies the Ork's language.
It is familiar. He's heard that before, and it fills him with fury. the dialect, the syllables, it's eerily similar to the heretic language of the damned filthy Night Lords.
But... how? How would an Ork know of it?

Senera brings him right arm to this chest and returns the gesture of the.... Great Crusade era salute.... What the?...
"Senera Fernando of the Black Templars." He replies in what he hopes to be a neutral tone suppressing his mixture of rage, curiosity, and confusion.
"How do you know that language? and that salute?"

[Segovax]

Segovax bears down on the ork, tucking his arm in to restrain the crude axe in his arm pit he slashes at the ork boy repeatedly "Blood, All is blood!"

As expected, the spinning teeth of Segovax's chainaxe gore the final Ork, cutting it's guttural howl short and replacing it with the weapon's own promethium-fuelled rumble. He stands alone now amongst a pile of bodies, limbs and weapons, with Meros and Norabder behind him, and Senera with Tortaga and his five remaining Orks to the left.

[Segovax's Post-Combat Wound Resolution - 6]

The bloody gash in Segovax's armpit clots almost immediately after the blade was removed, barely noticeable during the Berzerker's mindless rampage. Even if the warrior were to calm down, the incision would cause little more than a slight ache.

Using the swiftness of a combat knife to his advantage, Norabder stabs Meros' wounded attacker through the neck, finishing with a satisfying rip of skin as the blade comes free, and the greenskin topples backward.

[Meros' Post-Combat Wound Resolution - 3]

"Many thanks..." Meros grumbles, checking his various head and chest injuries, and deciding that his broken helm is worth discarding. The face beneath is peppered with ceramic splinters, creating a zig-zag streak of blood pouring down from the various incisions, like liquid lightning. "But as far as me and you are concerned, that Ork was a Nob, and it had a Power Klaw, ok?" He states firmly, walking unsteadily toward Senera and away from the bodies of the weak, unarmoured Boys in the sand.

Two of the greenskins start to become uneasy, grunting animalistic-ly in apprehension, having witnessed the slaughter of their fellows. The other three, though their true feelings are left undisclosed, remain with their feet planted firmly in the ground.

"Is 'ow all Orks does der talkin'." The psyker replies, clasping their wooden staff in response to Meros' approach. One of the other Orks behind speaks up, speaking fluent Nostraman that Senera has no hope of understanding. Tortaga nods quickly, and looks up at Senera. "We's gonna take yer back to da boss, if yers don't kill us all."

[Norabder]

Whatever you say.
*slaps Meros on the shoulder *
Now let's go find our how our resident crusader has been doing on the diplomatic front.

Senera is annoyed at the flagrant use of Nostraman by the Ork, but his helmet hides his extremely annoyed look.
"Well... I do not plan on killing you yet" Senera replies.
Senera takes a look back at the fighting and notices that it is done.
"But I do not speak for them", he says as he points to the trio of Space Marines behind him.
"I would like to meet this boss of yours though. I have questions for him."

Segovax looks for the next biggest Ork to kill

The next largest of the beasts is a tall, old looking one facing Senera a few metres away, with a blue tint in it's eyes that screams with the power of the warp.

The greenskins stand somewhat firm, though 'frozen in fear' is perhaps more accurate. How strange, that the greenskins - or these few at least - seem so obedient.

"Why did yer 'av ter kill me boys? Vaya vey… ne’sha." Tortaga grimaces, as Norabder and Meros approach, flanking the Templar. "You's all gotta come wiv us to der Boss, before dem Oddjobs find out dey missed a fite." The elderly greenskin exclaims in his mangled gothic, slowly walking away with the other 5 Boys, assuming the Astartes will either tag along, or shoot them.

[Norabder]

We might as well follow him. We're going to end up facing this boss eventually anyway.
*gets ready to hold back segovax if he tries to kill anything again*

Senera follows Tortaga while putting himself between him and the heretic.

[Segovax]

Segovax sees that the fighting is over and grudgingly follows the rest, taking the skulls of the fallen as small offerings to Khorne

After Segovax has finished cleaving the last head he can carry from greenskin bodies - six in total hanging from his belt, and an extra in his hand - the assembly of four Astartes, five Ork boys and the Ork psyker travel north, where the red sky starts to fade into a lighter, more watered down shade, and both the height and frequency of the sand dunes start to visibly decrease. An Ork stands either side of the paired marines, with another one at the back, and Tortaga at the front.

"Dust fades 'ere, see?" Tortaga announces. "Ain't far ter da boss."

Norabder
"Let's hope Segovax doesn't decide to shoot first." The Apothecary grumbles in reply.

The Lamenter stands with Segovax, while Meros moves to accompany Senera in front of them. The tainted one seems more bored than bloodthirsty now that the fighting is over.

[Perception - 1]

All you can see around you is sand, sand, and more fucking sand.

Senera
The Templar forms an effective barrier between Segovax and Tortaga, the latter hobbling along with their wooden staff; oddly, there doesn't seem to be a tree for miles.

[Perception - 3]

The Orks appear to behave more comfortably now that the terrain is flat and the heat of the desert sun starts to become less and less bothersome.

Segovax
A rhythmic melody of clunks and scrapes emanates from Segovax, as the Ork heads clack together with every step. Blood flows endlessly down the World Eater's legs from their open necks, creating a noticeable trail in the sand.

[Insanity test - 6]

For a moment it seems like one of the heads is talking to him. "Ow... ow... ow, yer git." It seems to say, as it knocks against Segovax's thigh plate.

[Perception - 3]

Segovax notices the same as Senera, although it's clear that the Orks standing either side of the Berzerker are considerably more apprehensive than the rest.

[Segovax]

Segovax hears the voice and reaches down to the head, crushing it in his iron grip 'shut up!' he growls through his vox, looking up at the two fearful orks beside him 'do you hear the voices to?' depravity and the threat of violence present in his voice, he also sees the psyker and feels his blood turn hot red 'one day... one day' he promises himself under his breath.

Senera makes a mental note about the change of scenery and the way they came just in case they would need to visit this Ork Warboss again.
Senera is slightly disappointed that the Khornate didn't attack giving him the perfect excuse to kill it. It would have to be put on temporary hiatus.
Right now, he had questions for the Orks.
"How did you get a staff when there are no trees around?", Senera asks Tortaga

[Norabder]

*looks around making sure he knows as much as possible about the terrain and the orks in order to form an exit strategy, preferably involving explosives.*

As they continue to walk forward, the strange mental pain returns to the assembled Astartes, as it did when the Orks first approached. Senera's mind is clouded by a powerful ache whenever his eyes meet the plains ahead. Segovax's Butcher's Nails are amplified by a buzzing, electrical sensation across his skull from all around. Norabder receives only a mild headache, yet it's effect is still noticeable.

The sand dunes behind trickle into an area of flat, lifeless plains. However, there's something white on the horizon, encompassng a large section of the sky, obscuring it's naturally red shade. It's not completely certain what it is, though at a first glance it would be best described as thick cloud.

Norabder
Your specific analysis of the Orks reveals their uncanny resemblance to the sorts of ragged militia found on a feudal Imperial worlds. Though much of the paint has been scraped off, the armoured plates are coloured a dark blue shade. Broadswords, maces and shields further fortify this ancient, teutonic appearance.

Other than the looming structure straight ahead, and the scenery behind, there's very little else of note in the terrain.

"Wots a tree?" Tortaga replies, looking puzzled, and irritated as a result. "Me staff wuz a gift from der Bigga Boss'z." The Ork holds it lengthways with both hands, allowing the Templar to study it. The wood is smooth and cylindrical, various runes and ancient texts carved into the surface. The top is far more elaborate, and is shaped to resemble a tortured, screaming face, complete with a pair of tall, vampiric wings extruded from the skull.

The head cracks and splinters, covering Segovax's hand in a thick coating of grey matter and gore.

[Ork Leadership - 6]

The greenskin to his left shuffles to the side instinctively, but the other merely glances across and snorts. "I dun 'ere nuffin."

The Ork standing at the back makes a condescending grunt, and starts to talk to the other in thick Nostraman.

[senera2000]

"A tree is a woody perennial plant, typically having a single stem or trunk growing to a considerable height and bearing lateral branches at some distance from the ground. Also Produces oxygen needed for respiration and combustion." Senera replies, hoping to make the Ork understand what a tree is.
Hm.... Senera takes a moment of silence processing what he heard.
"So you have bigger bosses in addition to your Warboss? Also, fair warning. If your Bigga Bossz are Night lords; and it's becoming increasingly likely, I will purge them."

Senera then tries to focus on the plains ahead. If some unnatural force doesn't want him to do something, it's precisely what he should be doing.
"What exactly is that?" Senera asks Tortaga, pointing at the cloud.

[Norabder]

*opens a private Vox channel to Meros*
If this goes tits up I suggest we throw grenades everywhere and hopes it kicks up enough sand we can sneak off. Or the grenades kill everything. Either way would look cool.

[Segovax]

Segovax feels the buzz of the butcher nails worse than usual 'blood...' he mutters and draws his daemon blade and attempts to impale the nearest ork upon it

"Yew 'umies talk funny" Tortaga sighs, shaking his head. "An' I dunno wot a Nite Lawd is too."

The Ork points with the top of his staff at the white shape on the horizon. "Dat dere is der pole. Too cold fer a sand Ork, so we'z all on the border."

A sudden wave of realisation makes the Ork chuckle. "I know wot's appenin'. You'z not got no Wierdboyz av ye? Ah, yers all confus'd ain't ye?" Tortaga begins, before he and Senera turn briskly in surprise toward Segovax and Norabder.

Norabder
The hiss of a blade slicing through the air is enough to send the Lamenter spinning around. Before Meros can make a reply to him, Norabder is clutching Segovax's wrist, holding the World Eater back from committing yet more bloody murder.

Segovax
The desire to draw blood once more is great, yet those around him seem to think otherwise. Before the great Daemon blade is able to strike, a yellow gauntlet clasps firmly around Segovax's corrupted wrist, halting his progress, for now.

While Lamenter and Berzerker clash, the other Orks growl and take cautious steps back, raising swords and shields defiantly. Angry Nostraman barks fill the air, however, Tortaga goes off in the other direction, apparently speaking his native tongue to the air, and nothing more.[/i][/i]

The world eater sees the lamenter holding him back 'Let... Go!' he growls

[Norabder]

Calm yourself khornate. Your god won't be happy with these few skulls. Wait and they'll take us to more of them.
*brings his other hand to the berserkers elbow and readies himself to force the blade from his grasp*

Senera completely ignores the scuffle with the heretic and focuses on his conversation with Tortaga.

Senera lets out a sigh at Tortaga's reply.
"Nevermind.... just be careful. And if I get the chance sometime, I'll show you a tree."

Senera takes a closer look at the pole. "interesting."

"Also, if by Wierdboys you mean psykers, then no. We don't have them. Should we?" Senera replies.
