Oktober makes sure that his feet are planted as supposed, looks at the Corporal and waits for any sign.

[Norabder]

Knispel:
"Good day" responds the corporal. "I'm corporal Justinian. So today I will teach you how to drive, I also want you to pay attention to the commands I give. You will need to know them when you have your own tank. Clear?"

Leonardo:
"Well Corporal, I'll give you directions to follow and you take the time to learn the controls. I want you to pay special attention to the way I give directions as you will be expected to do it the same way when your in charge.
I'm corporal Roebuck by the way."

Oktober:
"Hello corporal, I hear you did quite well on the range. I'm corporal Pucelle. When I give you directions make sure you pay attention to the wording, you'll be expected to use the same method later."

[Muffin Heretic]

"Thank you, Corporal, it was really just luck. I'm ready."

"Gotcha Corporal," Leonardo says just before he takes a deep breath and gets ready.

"Yes Corporal." Knispel replies, adjusting himself to the unfamiliar seat.

[Norabder]

Everyone (OOC):
for the sake of speed the word degrees is left off of turn commands; so 'left 45' is short for turn the tank 45 degrees left.

Knispel:
"Excellent, turn the tank left 45 and move up to the mound." From your position in the drivers seat you can make out the mound at the very edge of the periscopes vision, as promised 45 degrees to your left.

Leonardo:
"Ok, we'll start off just following the circuit, get this tank going as fast as you can. Remember to speed up on the corners." You can clearly see a oval shaped circuit marked out in front of you through the periscope.

Oktober:
"Move right 20 and advance to the base of the mound." You can see to your right and about a hundred metres ahead a large mound a bit taller than the tank.

Oktober moves his left track for a moment, slowly, carefully, until he is aligned to move torwards the mound without having to turn any way.
Then he uses both tracks, getting a feeling for the speed but advancing slowly on the mound, to make certain he doesn't accidentaly dig in his tracks.

"Hold on to your helmet, Corporal." Knispel smiles to himself, shunting the right lever down and accelerating until the mound appears in the middle of his sights. Then, pushing the left lever down aswell, he advances onward.

'Yes Corporal"
Senera grabs the two levers to either side of him, but doesn't pull or push any of it yet.
With a mischevous smirk on his face, Leonardo presses down on the accelerator as hard as he can. At the same time, he pushes both levers forward hoping to gain maximum speed.

[Norabder]

Knispel:
The tank gives a lurch and turns to the left before lurching again and accelerating sharply forward.
"Nice work corporal, halt us at the top of the mound."

Leonardo:
The engine growls and the tank lurches repeatedly before leaping forward and accelerating quickly.
"Starting a bit smoother is usually more efficient corporal."
You can see the circuit bending to the right up ahead.

Oktober:
"Good work corporal, this is the sort of speed you want for firing on the move. Now advance up the mound until late the tank is hull down. That's when only the turret is above the top of the mound."

Knispel eases off the accelerator as the tank approaches the mound, before applying the brakes when in the appropriate position.

Oktober pushes on, a tiny bit faster than before but not much as to not overshoot his goal and slowly halts the vehilce once it's in position, making sure it's properly set in place and not going to roll downhill.

"Apologies Corporal"
Leonardo slowly starts bringing the right lever back to the middle, bringing the lever to the middle at the cusp of the turn.

[Norabder]

Knispel:
The tank struggles a little as you ease off but has just enough power to reach the top.
"Excellent work so far corporal, now we're going to try some reversing. For this I'll give you directions as there's no way for the driver to see out the back of the tank. Clear?"

Leonardo:
The tank slowly begins to change course but only slightly.
"Turns like this you'll want to take in a octagonal shape."
(Series of short sharp turns one after the other)

Oktober:
"Excellent job, in combat the gunner would now give further instructions to the driver as they have the best view of the situation.
Now start her up again and halt at the top this time."

Leonardo takes the advice and brings both levers to the middle.
He then pulls the right lever and pushes the left lever and then brings it to the middle while keeping his foot on the pedal.
He then repeats the action several times till he finishes the turn.

"Clear as day." Knispel calls back, setting up the tank to reverse.

Everyone:
After a little longer practicing with the controls you are ordered to halt and head back to the board for a final brief.

[Muffin Heretic]

"Was nice with you, corporal, thank you."
Oktober gets out and walks back with a quicker pace as to not be the last one to get there.

[Apothecary Meros]

"Cheers Corporal, I'll see you 'round." Knispel says back to his temporary partner, as he disembarks and leisurely makes his way back to his assembled companions.

Leonardo smiles at the Corporal, "Thanks for the advice.". He then makes a quick bow and leaves the tank after properly parking it, heading back to the board.

Everyone:
Sergeant Temp steps away from the tech priest he had been talking to and turns to address you.
"You will be pleased to hear that our overly combustible tank has been repaired. As such we will be conducting our final lesson.

For this we will be learning tank command and squadron tactics, to this end I will be commanding the lead tank whilst you will be commanding the others in the squadron three at a time.

Our objective is a simple line breaker scenario we will be tasked with breaking through to the opposite side of the hangar. The enemy consists of servitor piloted dummy tanks.

Corporals knispel, Leonardo and Oktober, you're up first.

"Those poor Servitors."
Oktober says to himself, waiting to be brought to a tank, or for the others to leave so he can follow.

Leonardo smiles and nods at the two other Corporals who are going to be his squad members, and looks around to see what tank he's going to get.
"Now this is exciting."

[Apothecary Meros]

Knispel nods politely back to Leonardo, and walks toward the vehicles with him and Oktober. "I'll try not to explode again."
